I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Jen & Dustin's day at the beautiful Wye River Island in Queenstown Maryland. If you are looking for a Maryland wedding venue on a budget, with scenic waterfront views and lodging on the Eastern Shore, this is a MUST-SEE location.
Wye Island is a Natural Resources Management Area and is owned by the state. Separate from public hiking trails, Wye Island has a private location that includes the "Duck House" and "Bunkhouse" which both include lodging that can be reserved at a "per night" rate.
The pavilion rental includes picnic tables and can accommodate 50 to 200 people. If additional space is needed, there is plenty of space for an event tent. The ceremony site for this wedding featured a cute gazebo and had beautiful views of the river to the right.

Not only did this Maryland wedding take place on the iconic Eastern Shore, these Marylanders showed their state pride with a Maryland themed wedding, featuring black, yellow, and red. The couple's artistic flare was captured throughout their wedding day with hand made flowers from wood and hand made cake topper.
After the bridal party speeches and toasts, we made our way to a near by dock as golden hour began to set in. The glow of the Maryland sunset was beautiful. The golden glow was so beautiful that we wondered up the gravel lane chasing the sunset for some amazing, romantic shots.
